Participants will learn the definition of trauma, and about the types of adverse events that can cause trauma.

This module focuses on the ways that trauma effects the brain and the development and functioning of the child.

Trauma can impact all developmental domains. This module focuses on the ways that trauma effects play, communication, language, and literacy.

Module 4 has two parts. Part 1 focuses on the importance of engaging in practice in culturally responsive ways. Part 2 introduces ethical issues in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices. Participants will learn strategies for implementing culturally responsive clinical practices.

Module 5 provides a definition of trauma informed practices (TIPs).

Module 6 focuses on different assessment processes and how to implement assessments in culturally responsive and trauma informed ways.

This module focuses on a narrative-based intervention designed to strengthen children's social pragmatic communication, language, and literacy skills.

In this module, resilience with be defined and participants will learn about ways to help children build resilience.
